What is the card and how does it work?

Who is the card for?

Individuals with an irregular household income of less than INR 20,000 a month. This includes:

  • Construction workers
  • Sanitation workers
  • Domestic workers
  • Gig-economy fleet workers
  • Truck drivers
  • Factory workers
  • Other daily wage earners

Nano and micro businesses with a turnover of less than INR 10,00,000 a year. This includes —

  • Street vendors
  • Kirana stores

What can you do with the card?

The cardholder:

  • will get a physical card with a unique QR code
  • will get screened to identify the schemes they’re eligible for (they will be given a PDF with a list)
  • can scan the QR code on the card using their smartphone and view their scheme list whenever they want (no app download needed)
  • can also keep updating their information to identify new schemes themselves (no agent needed)
  • can easily know which documents are needed for their applications
